Monogrammed bath towel with Elegant Floral Initials
Photos of this this beautiful bath towel have been emailed to us by Rolf from Germany. Rolf, thank you so much!
To decorate this towel, Rolf used Elegant Floral Initials font.

Tips: Embroidery on towels requires special attention. First - you will need some
heavy tearway stabilizer for backing, and water soluble topping film for preventing stitches from sinking into the towel fabric.
Basic steps:
This is how the blank towel looked - nice, not very fat towel.
Because the towel was relatively thin, Rolf managed to hoop it the regular way. For thick towels, you will need to hoop the backing only, then apply temporary spray adhesive and stick your towel over. Don't forget to put water soluble topping (it's not necessary to hoop it). If you won't use topping, embroidery stitches will get lost inside the towel, and your design will look ugly. Look how well Rolf's letter turned out. It's because he used topping, hooped and stabilized well.
Here's how the embroidered letter looks when water soluble topping is still there:
And here's a finished project, after being laundered to wash the topping away:
