Wine Gift Bags using the Grape Vines Collection
These beautiful wine bottle bags have been created by Darla & Lee Simmons. Thank you for the beautiful project!
Darla embroidered the wine bag with a couple of Grape Vines embroidery designs, added the words "Vine" and "Salute"
and decorated with matching cord. The result is really unusual - a perfect marriege of elegant and country styles :o) Scroll down to see close-up photos, and read instructions for this project.
Here is a great way to spiffy up a gift of bottle wine. Now they get two gifts in one - the wine and the beautifully decorated fabric bag it came in. This would make a wonderful hostess gift. These designs would also make a great looking kitchen set - placemats, potholders and napkins to match.
Here I chose the Grape Vine design and added the word "Vine" for some extra punch. I used cotton fabric with three layers of lightweight tearaway stabilizer. For the second identical bag I chose Grape Bottom Corner and the word "Salute". Cheers!

And here is a "Plain Elegant Script" font - you may use it to do the lettering. Enjoy!
Tips:
1. You may wonder why Darla used three layers of thin tearaway and not one heavy layer. The reason is simple - when you tear away thick pieces of stabilizer, the stitches might be distorted. However, if you tear away thin layers, one after another - nothing will harm the design.
